We are looking for an independent, detail-oriented, and solution-focused traveling mechanic for immediate employment. You will be based out of our workshop in Hässleholm.
Transformator Service AB is an established company with many years of experience, assisting electricity and power companies as well as transformer manufacturers with transformer maintenance. We install new transformers and repair and renovate existing power, distribution, and metering transformers on the Scandinavian market.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or final grade from a three-year or two-year upper secondary program.
- At least 2 years of work experience.
- Residing within commuting distance (approx. 50 miles) to Hässleholm.
- Category B driver's license.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Good physical condition.
- Ability to read and follow drawings and electrical schematics.
Merits
- Technical education or equivalent work experience.
- General electrical knowledge, such as measuring voltage and current, and troubleshooting electrical panels.
- Experience working in switchgear, such as assistant electrician or similar roles.
- Category BE driver's license (heavy trailer).
- Forklift license A and B (counterbalance forklift).
Job Responsibilities
We offer you a fun and varied job on a smoke-free workplace with the opportunity to influence the development of our growing company. The work alternates between traveling and working in the workshop in Hässleholm. You will be our ambassador at the customer site, and it is essential that you respect our customers' wishes.
Traveling work involves:
- Installation of new transformers.
- Repair of large transformers.
- Maintenance of transformers.
On-site, you will perform tasks ranging from painting to troubleshooting and reinstallation. This may include replacing components, troubleshooting within and on the transformer, and monitoring systems. It is physically demanding work requiring good fitness, primarily performed in teams of at least two people. The work is full-time during the day, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work possible. Overnight stays on-site and being away from home during the week may occur. Longer working days and occasional night shifts may also take place.
Workshop work involves:
- Repair of smaller transformers – gasket replacement, component replacement, and part repairs.
- Versatile mechanical and electrical work.
We offer specialized training both internally and externally, providing opportunities for continuous professional development. Some training is conducted with manufacturers in Europe, while other training takes place on-site in projects with a supervisor from the manufacturer.

Computer Skills
- Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency in using smartphones and tablets.
Scope & Duration: Full-time & Permanent
Salary Type: Fixed monthly salary
